Do you consider yourself a leftist or a rightist? Why?

I lean a little left. I mean, it's hard to be an activist and not be a little left. Conservatives tend to like things the way they are. Liberals tend to want change.

I see myself as being at the very left or not being on the spectrum at all because politics are should be unnecessary.

It is getting increasingly difficult to assess anyone's political stance by a simple left or right definition. In the UK the present government is the Labour Party - originally a socialist movement supported primarily by trade unions and socialist academics - Yet most of their policies seem indistinguishable from conservative policies - and they have fully supported the war in Iraq and the Bush administration despite the largest ever peace rally in February 2002 of 2 million people.

My politics are Liberal - I am increasingly opposed to Multinational Corporations and pro social enterprise and local enterprise. Strongly in favour of taxing spending rather than earning but also opposed to huge inequality in earnings. I also favour decentralisation of power in communities and worker participation on boards. In essence I believe in giving people the power to curb abuse of power.

This was very interesting. I would consider myself in the middle. Haha, look at my results:

Economic Left/Right: -0.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.05

I wish I was more interested in politics.

so I guess I'm an anarchist that's willing to settle as long as things are done right?

I try not to label myself. I am conservative about some issues. I am liberal about others.
